DoRaptim

Install the engine

Put DoRaptim's engine on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

DoRaptim has two parts: the engine, a small program on your computer that does the downloading, and the Chrome extension, which hands browser downloads to it. Install the engine first, then the extension.

Windows

  1. Download doraptim-0.1.0-alpha.4-windows-x86_64-setup.exe from the download section.
  2. Open it. Windows may say "Windows protected your PC": choose More info, then Run anyway. The builds are not code-signed yet.
  3. Follow the steps. The installer puts the engine in your user account and connects it to Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and Chromium.

macOS

  1. Download the package for your Mac: doraptim-0.1.0-alpha.4-macos-arm64.pkg for Apple Silicon (M1 or later), or doraptim-0.1.0-alpha.4-macos-x86_64.pkg for Intel. Not sure? Apple menu, About This Mac: "Chip: Apple M…" is Apple Silicon.
  2. Open it. If macOS says it cannot check the package, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.
  3. Follow the steps. Nothing else is needed: no Homebrew, no developer tools.

With Homebrew (macOS, or Linux on x86-64)

brew tap tenkuryucode/doraptim https://github.com/TenkuryuCode/doraptim-releases
brew trust tenkuryucode/doraptim
brew install doraptim
doraptim setup

doraptim setup connects the engine to your browsers. Run it again after you install another browser.

With Scoop (Windows)

scoop bucket add doraptim https://github.com/TenkuryuCode/doraptim-releases
scoop install doraptim

Linux and developers

The .tar.gz archives (and the Windows .zip) contain only the engine program. Put it anywhere on your PATH, then run doraptim setup.

Check a download

Each release has a SHA256SUMS file. In the folder with your download:

shasum -a 256 --check --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS # macOS
sha256sum --check --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS # Linux, or Windows with Git Bash
