Videos and streams
Download the video you are watching, choose its quality, and keep its subtitles.
Finding videos
- Find videos on this page in the popup lists the video and audio the page plays or links to, also inside embedded players.
- Find videos automatically in the settings puts a Download with DoRaptim button on videos while they play or when you point at them. Chrome asks for access to all sites when you turn it on; turning it off gives it back.
- Right-click a video or a link and choose Download with DoRaptim.
Choosing the quality
The button's menu lists the qualities, for example "1080p · Video + audio · 512 MiB"; pick one, and the preview opens with it. The preview also lets you change it. The file name follows the quality you choose.
For players that load one quality at a time, the menu lists the qualities the player has loaded so far: play another quality briefly in the player to add it.
What can be downloaded
- Video and audio files (MP4, WebM, MKV, MP3, M4A, …).
- HLS streams (
.m3u8), also encrypted with AES-128. They are saved as MP4, which plays in QuickTime and every other player; a stream in a codec that cannot go into MP4 is kept as.ts. - Players that stream video and sound separately: DoRaptim downloads both and joins them into one MP4, without re-encoding.
- Subtitles the page or stream offers: saved next to the video with the same name (
Film.en.vtt), so players such as VLC, IINA, and mpv show them.
What cannot
- Live streams, and DASH streams for now.
- Files on services that encrypt them end to end, such as MEGA.
- Videos protected against copying (DRM), and services that do not allow downloading, such as YouTube and Netflix. This is on purpose.
Download only what you have the right to download.
